3.       Prayer: Lord, thank you for your word, please use it to lead me and make me like you.

  • Humility : 2:1-4
  • Freedom from pride in self and the righteousness that comes from Christ (3:4-10)
  • Pressing toward the goal: 3:13-14
  • Freedom from anxiety : 4:1-6
  • Contentment : trusting in the God who provides (4:13)
  • Joy: the word occurs 16 times
